It is a pleasure to invite you to this event that is held in Medellin every two years. This is the fourth edition of the International Congress of Medicine and Women's Mental Health.
This meeting has been characterized by the relevance of its contents and the extensive knowledge the speakers have on the subject providing information based on their experience as researchers and their professional life in specific areas related to health care for women.
The support provided by CES University to this Congress makes this an excellent academic event and the epicenter for the meeting of professionals from different areas, regions and countries. In turn, it creates the opportunity to establish networks, research and knowledge focused towards in advancing in women care.
The topics selected this time provide a wide range of opportunities to explore into mental health areas where biological and psychosocial aspects are present and of course, with a gender perspective, communicating in this form a different knowledge with an added value: to move beyond the differences between men and women. The four topics selected: schizophrenia, Psychoneuroendocrinology, psychopathology and life cycle, women and post-modernity, constitute an attractive and comprehensive overview in which each participant will see represented his/her area of interest and at the same time will afford the opportunity to explore innovative aspects of psychiatry. We look forward to have you and share these meetings, and give you in Medellin the charms of a city surrounded by mountains along with the happiness of the tropics. Sincerely,
Dr. Silvia Lucia Gaviria A. Director IV International Congress of Medicine and Women's Mental Health

The College of Medicine considers a priority the dissemination of knowledge and its participation in the social dynamics lived by society. In the specific case of WOMEN’S MENTAL HEALTH, a multidisciplinary approach has been taking form in explaining their problematic. The aim, therefore, is to undertake the specific problems from the physiological, mental, neurological, endocrine and social aspects in order to generate explanations and solutions.
